How To Survive Christmas Without A Boyfriend.

Hello everyone!
And Merry Christmas to you all!
Today, I'll be sharing my secrets to surviving christmas without a boyfriend. all my friends at the moment seem to have their 'special someone'. While I'm sitting at home in my onesie scoffing mince pies and a ton of chocolate (and of course a glass of something red) in front of the TV, my mates are on fantastic dates with handsome men, swapping funny stories and christmas presents under the mistletoe. Surely, I can't be the only one?? There are well over 7 billion people on this planet and I can't seem to find one that wants to stay. But, chin up!! Here's my five ways to survive christmas without a winter boyfriend...

1. Party with your single friends! - We all have that one friend that is a complete party animal! And what better way to spend the party season than to party!! So get that LBD (little black dress) on and those really cute kitten heels and paint the town red!!!

2. Curl up with a good book - That's right! Not only is it the season to be jolly, but it's also the season to be freezing! So shut the curtains, put on your onesie and whack out Bridget Jones's Diary!!

3. SHOPPING!! - Not all of us are organised and have all our presents under the tree by the 1st of December haha! So since there's late night shopping why not have a browse on the high street! You can pick up some lovely gifts for your friends! Me and soph actually went to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland a couple of weeks ago! Theres lovely christmas markets and food stalls to buy mulled wine and, of course, there are rides and ice skating!!!

4. Get a new pet - A few weeks ago I got a new Hamster called Cinnamon! (Call me sad but they make fantastic pets!) You'll be so busy looking after your new pet and welcoming it to your family that you won't have time to think about men!

5. Make more time for your family! - Time flies and you soon realise that It's been a month since you've seen your grantparents! Well, why not pay them a visit! Arrive with a gift (I got mine a box of Milk Tray which they LOVE) and have a nice cuppa and a chin wag. They'll be so happy just to see you! That's what christmas is all about after all. It's about spending time with the people closest to you!!

So those are my tips for enjoying christmas without a man! No need to fret! Just follow these tips and everything will work out for the best! Have a wonderful and happy Christmas everyone!!

How to get a boyfriend.

Hello everyone!!! Seeing as I have extensive experience in love (hahaha...), i thought it would be a great idea for me to post about it.
Having trouble getting a boyfriend? Fells like you've been single for ages? You've come to the right blog!!
Below are my (fool-proof) tips to get a boyfriend!!!!

1. Dont sleep with him on the first date.
You heard. Dont give it up. In fact, dont give it up EVERRRR. He'll want you more.

2. ALWAYS, and i mean ALWAYS - play hard. to. get.
Kind of relating to the previous tip. If they text you, take AGESS to reply. They love the chase. Imagine you are the goat and they are the lion... Or something like that. Well, either way, be the unattainable. Guys love that.

3. Be wonderful and know it.
You are a beautiful, fantastic woman. You are the prize. Do NOT settle for just anyone!!

4. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy life.
So what if Mr Gorgeous hasn't texted you back after that amazing date you had last week!! His loss! You had things to do that night anyway. Plus, you prefer the single life. More money for yourself. More time for yourself. And you dont have to shave your legs either!!

So those are my secrets to getting a boyfriend! Good luck, beauts!!

Halloween.

Hello my beautiful readers! How was your halloween? From what I remember, mine was great! Me soph and chels went out in town and, of course, had one too many drinks! The next day I was feeling slightly ill... haha.

So, what else is happening in the world of emily?! Well, this week I found out that soph got a promotion and if moving to the other end of the floor. Now, while I do feel very happy for her. I also know that shes one of the only people (if not THE only person) that I actually get on with. I normally try hard not to mix with people at work (because it almost always ends in drama and tears and feeling awkward at work). But, I was very pleased that I met Soph because she just gets me. And Trust me, not many people do. haha..

And of course, my love life is still dreadful! And I do have a bit of a confession - I've been talking to a former flame online. But not as myself. Thats right. As someone else. A catfish, I guess you could say. I've leaarned a lot from it too! I've learned that you can never trust anyone online! I asked him about his previous encounters and he just said none of them worked out because they left the country to work abroad... bullsh#t!!! what a total piece of garbage!! OMG i just wanna punch him!! But, I wont of course! I'll keep you posted on the juicy details!

Everyone's been there...

Everyone's been there. It's that time of your life where you don't know whats what. You don't know which way to turn. Or how. Or why. You try to figure out why things happened a certain way but its futile. You try searching for answers but instead get nowhere. Maybe I'm talking rubbish. I don't know. And maybe no-ones even reading this. But, hey, I'll just keep typing anyway. These past two years have been so hard on me. In more ways than one.
So in future, my posts will be of a slightly different nature. Not necessarily nursing. But about life in general. Because life is the most complex, confusing, and utterly surreal thing that has actually ever happened to me. So, this will be my online diary. I'll talk to you as a friend. A non-judgemental, online friend who I can be completely honest with. Right, so where exactly shall I start. I suppose I have to start somewhere.
Okay well here goes, I guess. I grew up and still live in a town in England. Still live with parents, sometimes see friends. But really my life at the moment can be summed up as this - Eat, sleep, work, repeat. Yeah, fun. Sometimes I wonder if theres more to life. I try talking to my parents about this but then the conversation always steers back to religion. And whilst don't mind religion, I just can't stand the way they shove it down my throat. Two years ago I chose a life of independence. Free from the shackles that I felt bound to. (I'll explain all this in time, I promise!!) Since then, I have one brother that tries hard to pretend I don't exist (Lets call him E) and another that I'm desparetely trying to rebuild a relationship with (and we'll call him W). I drive to an freezing cold office I work at almost everyday, filled with vacuous, self-absorbed people, every word they say having a double meaning.
Then there's the love life. which is pretty much non-existent haha.. well, I was left a bit broken hearted when the guy I'd been seeing posted a picture of himself on facebook with another girl.. since then I've been asked to move to bristol by a guy I barely know.. A newly single ex has reappeared and won't stop messaging me.. And a guy I've been talking to for a couple of weeks is suddenly talking commitment when we haven't even met face-to-face - Oh and he's in the military so he'll be leaving for Korea in a few months.. Yeah. messed up huh?
It doesn't stop there! I've got so much more to tell but I'll get to the juicy bits later! Think I've typed enough for now. But, like I say. everyone's been there. Haven't they?

5 reasons why you should never give up!

Hello viewers!
Thanks for continually viewing my blog and seeing what i've been up to recently!! (Even though i have been VERY lazy in regards to updating this!) ^_^;;
I promise I will keep updating regularly from now on!!
Anyway now to start with the subject of my post - 5 reasons why you should never give up!!

1. You'll eventually achieve if you keep trying hard - Achieving your dreams may seem like a million years away but you have to keep trying otherwise you may never succeed!
2. People will see you in a different light - People will see you as a more accomplished person! And of course everyone wants to be around a positive and successful person as it motivates others!
3. Once you achieve one goal, it will motivate you more - Achieving your dreams helps you to understand that you really CAN go far in life! YOU are in control of your life! No one and nothing else!
4. You could potentially fail more if you do give up - Failing can lead to negativity which thus can lead to more failing!
5. You're life will be more interesting! - Ever seen the movie 'Yes man'? By saying 'yes' more and accepting challenges, you have more chance to change your life for the better!

So those are my five reasons!! Hope you enjoyed reading! Speak to you soon! xx
